David spoke to the Lord the words of this song...........the Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; The God of my rock; in him will I trust..

~~~~In the beginning God..~~~~
I don't know about you but growing up I was taught that God the Father was our creator. Period! But in the new testament, Jesus speaks of himself in old testament scriptures periodically and speaks of himself being with the Father even before the foundation of the world. New testament scripture also says that nothing was made without Jesus. Creation was made by him for him and without him nothing was made. (John 1:1-3, Ephesians 3:9,Colossians 1:12-18). So then where in old testament scripture is Jesus? Where is he mentioned during the creation of all things?
Genesis 1:26 says: And God said, let "us" make man in "our" image, after "our" likeness.......verse 27 says: so God created man in his image, in the image of God he created them....Now why do you suppose verse 27 says man was created in the image of God twice. (Read it again out loud). Romans 5:14 says Adam is the figure of him who "was" to come (Jesus ), and Colossians 1:15 says Jesus is the image of the invisible God. So if Adam was the image of Jesus and Jesus is the image of God, Genesis 1:27 is not repeating twice that God the Father made man in his image, but instead, that Jesus made man in his image, the image of God the Father. Remember, the verse before this God said let "us" make make man in "our" image. And so it was. But is this the only place we can find Jesus in the old testament? Of course not! Let's go back before the creation of man.
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.....God said, Let there be light and there was light. God saw the light that it was good.....And God said let there be a firmament........and God made the firmament......God said let there be lights in the firmament.....and God made two great lights.....
Now, old school teaching says that God the Father said it, he made it and saw it was good. But since nothing that was made was made without Jesus, this can't be the Father working alone. So the only conclusion here is that God the Father said, let there be light, Jesus created that light and the Father saw that it was good. A Father and his Son working on a project together? Imagine that.
There are many, many more verses throughout the old testament that shows Jesus with the Father. But I'm not here to write out the entire old testament. I just wanted to show more than only a few or even several verses so we could see that indeed the scriptures do testify of Jesus, and that Moses, David and all the prophets did write of and testify of Jesus like he said. I hope this has been helpful to you. If so please share and help someone else know that Jesus was with the Father from the beginning and before he was the son of man; he was God. And still is.
